Michelle Hill of TLC and Nikki Gatenby of Propellernet confirmed as speaking at next year’s conference.
We are excited to confirm the first three speaker’s for next year’s Happy Workplaces Conference on 21st and 22nd June 2018 in London.
You will learn from Cathy Busani of Happy, an award-winning WorldBlu Freedom-Centered Workplace, Nikki Gatenby of Propellernet, and Michelle Hill of Talk Listen Change (TLC).
Nikki is Owner and Managing Director of Propellernet, one of the top 10 Best Places to Work in the UK for the last 5 years running and billed as one of the most progressive search agencies in Europe. Over the last 20 years Nikki has been experimenting with entrepreneurial ways of working across international teams in competitive digital agencies in London, Paris and now Brighton. With the ethos that people and purpose are you’re route to profit, Nikki will share how she has created genuine business success by putting people first and propelling them forward, both personally and professionally.
TLC: Talk, Listen, Change was formed from the disaffiliation of Relate Greater Manchester South (GMS) from the Relate Federation. Michelle joined Relate GMS in December 2013, as Chief Executive. Prior to joining the organisation, Michelle spent 12 years working for Nacro, the crime reduction charity. She started there in 2001 working with young people at risk of offending as part of the Commonwealth Games and finished leading a national organisation-wide change programme.
At Happy since March 1995, Cathy originally started as an IT Trainer. Although having little prior experience in the industry, it was her attitude that made Henry realise he had found someone special. Sure enough, within just six months she was voted in by the training team as their manager, and shortly after took over the role of Managing Director. She passionately believes that people work best when they feel good about themselves. Everything she does has that as the underlying aim – if you believe the best of people, you get the best they have to give. Her leadership purpose is simply to help others be great.
All three speakers have implemented ideas around happy workplaces and the principles of the Happy Manifesto. They will give real practical examples of things that they did and the challenges that they faced, and will include plenty of time for discussion of these ideas. All speakers at Happy’s conferences make their talks interactive, with questions and discussion time so that attendees can think about how they could implement ideas at their own workplace straight away. This makes the day fun and interactive, with lots of opportunities to network and discuss ideas in a supportive environment.
